Geraldine Almanzar » MY TEACHER PAGE

Hey y’all! My name is Ms. Almanzar; I was born in Dominican Republic but raised in the Bronx. I graduated from Lehman College with a Bachelor’s in Speech Pathology and a minor in Education. After having attended both High school and college in the Bronx I realized I wanted to pursue a career in which I could work with kids that had a similar upbringing to mine. I worked in various summer camps and afterschool programs that helped shape me into the person and educator I am today. After joining the Department of Education as a Paraprofessional, I joined the Teaching Fellows program and pursued my Masters in Education at City College of NY at which time I began my tenure at Bronxdale High School. I enjoy going on vacation and spending time with my family and friends. I love listening to music in my free time and going shopping. My favorite quality is being able to interact with diverse personalities and making meaningful connections.
