WELCOME TO MY TEACHER PAGE

Hi, my name is Mr. Lockhart and I teach Living Environment (biology). Science is endlessly fascinating and fun to me: how does the world work and why is it so beautiful? I find Biology especially interesting because it includes the science of our own bodies, in addition to all the living things around us. I’m from Texas originally, where I grew up and went to Baylor University, but have made NYC and The Bronx my home by choice for the past six years and I love it here. 

I volunteer in two gardens in NYC: a neighborhood Green Thumb garden (part of NYC Parks) and in Battery Park farm and gardens. I also love to hike and camp. 

Get outside, explore the world. NYC has amazing parks, there are probably more than one within walking distance of where you are right now. Find them, look closely, be surprised.
